About this speaker
After graduating with a BA Honors in Psychology from Rhodes University in South Africa, Carley pursued her MA in Counseling at Houston Graduate School of Theology, where she developed a keen interest in the multifaceted subject of betrayal trauma and the broader implications of traumatic experiences.
She later completed specialized training in couples therapy and sex addiction, as well as gaining insights into the neurobiological underpinnings of sex addiction through training in neurofeedback and memory reconsolidation. Carley currently works as a clinical team member at Daring Ventures, providing therapeutic support to couples and individuals.
With personal insights from her own experiences of familial betrayal, she is committed to fostering understanding for adult children of sex addicts. Additionally, Carley has been a speaker at various summits and podcasts, frequently addressing the challenges and narratives surrounding this important topic.
